Fryburg Shoe Shop, founded by Harry A. Weaver, operated out of his 20' x 40' garage. The primary focus was shoe repairs.

With the shift toward manufacturing leather goods, Harry changed the company name to Weaver Leather Goods.

As the need for manufactured leather goods grew, shoe repair work ceased.

A second addition of 20' x 40' was added to the current shop.

1982
The first catalog was printed — a black and white 10-page catalog featuring horse halters, cattle and pet supplies and various hardware pieces.

Offices were added to the existing building.

Paul Weaver was appointed as president of Weaver Leather Goods.

Weaver Distributing Co. was founded to distribute a variety of leather and hardware.

First annual Weaver Consignment Auction is held.

Weaver Leather Goods and Weaver Distributing Co. merged to form one company, Weaver Leather, Inc.

A new 12,000 square foot building was constructed to house all Weaver manufacturing, shipping and customer service operations.

Acquired ProTack® and began manufacturing nylon products under the ProTack® name.

Launched Weaver West line of luggage and bags.

Acquired Mast Harness Hardware, a distributor of leather, hardware, dyes, finishes, harness parts and machine parts.

Purchased a collection of memorabilia from Merle Grant, a longtime customer and friend to Paul Weaver. Opened the Merle Grant museum to display his unique collection.
