Purchasing Manager

Weaver Leather, a manufacturer and distributor of leather and nylon goods, is looking for a full-time Purchasing Manager. This individual will lead our buyers and inventory control specialists to plan, organize, direct, and control all activities related to the procurement function.

Our ideal candidate will have high character and strong leadership capabilities motivated by the desire to serve; the ability to think strategically, and to plan and execute company priorities with a sense of urgency. This individual must be able to effectively manage positive relationships with foreign and domestic vendors and make decisions related to quality, price, and delivery. Must be a strong communicator, be able to foster teamwork, and have the ability to prioritize and hit deadlines in a fast-paced, ever changing environment. Must be resourceful with strong supplier negotiation skills. Previous knowledge of international purchasing beneficial. This position is a rare opportunity to join the Weaver Leather corporate leadership team, previous experience in a related position is preferred.

Research & Development Coordinator Livestock Division

Weaver Leather, a manufacturer and distributor of leather and nylon strap goods, is looking for a full-time Research & Development Coordinator for our Livestock Division.

This position will coordinate the research and development of new products from idea to market. Some of the responsibilities of this position include: working with sales division managers and the new product team to evaluate and develop new products; facilitate new product development communication internally between departments; gather, record, analyze and coordinate testing information; organize and maintain paper flow and documentation from idea development to product launch (packaged and ready for market); analyze market trends; obtain and organize samples and prototypes.

Our ideal candidate must enjoy working with people and be able to handle multiple projects with attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness; be a self-starter, with a high degree of initiative and follow through; and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong computer skills in Word and Excel are a must. Previous experience/involvement in livestock industry and 4-H, or FFA is strongly preferred.

Customer Service Specialist

Weaver Leather, a manufacturer and distributor of leather and nylon products, has a full-time, Customer Service position available in our call center.

Responsibilities include answering inbound telephone calls, processing customer orders, and entering all information into a computer. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a customer service or related position. Strong computer and data entry skills and the ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing are also required.

Manufacturing Supervisor – Arborist Division

Weaver Leather is seeking a full-time manufacturing supervisor to oversee our arborist manufacturing cell.

The responsibilities of this position include overseeing the daily workflow of the department, lead and develop department employees, and work with department managers to achieve goals. We’re looking for someone who has an eye for quality, can motivate people to maximize productivity and a deep concern for people that enables them to provide servant leadership. Supervisory skills are needed to make hiring decisions, train and develop people, measure work performance to goals and standards, and provide coaching and correction when needed. Must be able to manage multiple priorities, work well and communicate effectively with other, and be able to solve problems. Applicant will need to be able to stand for long periods of time and safely lift up to 50lbs. Previous experience in a related field is desired but not necessary.

Arborist Coordinator

Weaver Leather, a manufacturer and distributor of leather and nylon strap goods, is looking for a full-time Arborist Coordinator to join our team.

This position will coordinate and assist our arborist team with product development, marketing plans, and sales support. Some of the responsibilities of this position include: working with arborist division manager to evaluate and develop new products; facilitate new product development communication internally between departments; gather, record, analyze and coordinate testing information; organize and maintain paper flow and documentation from idea development to product launch; analyze market trends; obtain and organize samples and prototypes. Serve as key internal contact for arborist team. Work closely with marketing team on arborist focused projects such as; website creation and maintenance, social media efforts, PR opportunities and advertising.

Our ideal candidate must have strong organizational, interpersonal, written/verbal communication skills. Must be able to manage priorities and time. Possess strong computer skills in a windows environment, including Excel and Word, JD Edwards experience a plus. Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and detail ability. Must be flexible and able to respond quickly and appropriately to department and customer needs. Previous experience in an arborist related field or forestry background is strongly preferred.
